Lavender House, Crantock

Overall the house was lovely and fitted our requirements perfectly. There were a few issues which were dealt with straightaway. Although a gardener was sent out to cut the grass at our request we felt that the whole garden area could do with a good tidy and regular maintenance. There were quite a few cobwebs and spiders around the house so perhaps it needed a deep clean at the beginning of the season. The decor of the house was lovely and the beds were the best we have ever had. Highly recommend Jam Jar Kitchen and the Hawley. Had a great time and weather could not have been better.

Lovely property with wonderful views over Crantock to the sea. Well equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub and games room were a welcome extra. Conveniently situated within walking distance of village and beach

First impressions were. I didnt expect the property to be in a housing estate. The pictures available were depicting something very different. The property is large and spacious with plenty of sitting space for guests to be together or have their own privacy. The furnishings are looking a bit tired though. It is advertised as luxury but it doesnt ooze luxurious. The bedrooms are minimalist. The main bedroom has no drawer space just a large built in wardrobe with hanging so underwear was on the floor inside the wardrobe. The bathrooms again adequate but not luxury. Cleanliness was not the best but acceptable. Lights and fittings were extremely dusty. Some mould in the ensuite in the grout and limescale on the shower head. The kitchen appliances werent adequate for a party of ten as the hob only had 4 rings. I am glad I took some of my own pans as I wouldnt have had enough otherwise.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house which is ot far from local village and pub and just a short walk to the beach. The house was very modern and had everything we could have wanted. Would definitely recommend a stay here and have already booked again fir next year

Lovely house. We had sunshine all week so made the most of the terrace and the views. A few maintenance issues need addressing but Lucy the housekeeper is passing those on. Lots of comfortable space for our party of ten. We had a great week.

We had a great stay at Lavender House. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for an excellent stay.The views and the location were brilliant.The games room was a unique feature and enjoyed throughout our stay.We have had a very relaxing stay at Lavender House and would recommend it to our family and friends.

We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Lavender House. The living space is fantastic and our party never felt we were on top of each other. The house is well appointed with lovely furnishings and very comfortable beds, we all slept like logs. Stunning views over the field towards Crantock and the beach in the distance. The beach is about a ten minute walk or longer if you decide to stop off at one of the local pubs on the way home. Both pubs serve great food, we do love CBay though slightly longer walk but worth it, can be reached at low tide over the rocks The hottub was excellent and one of the best we've had on holiday, we've never had one which kept it's temperature so well. Lucy the property manager was quick to respond when we had a small problem with the tub and it was able to be sorted over the phone. We had originally booked another property Chi Gwyn which the owner also owns, however after six months of booking poor reviews were appearing in relation to cleanliness issues. I asked Sykes to ask the owner to contact me which he did. Anthony kindly moved us to Lavender House and went to great lengths to explain that he had been having issues with the cleaning company and had taken steps to recruit another company and the issues on previous reviews were now rectified. We were certainly not disappointed and were pleased to find that as promised there were no issues with cleanliness. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Lavender House in the future or book Chi Gwyn which Lucy also manages. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful property in a great location to explore Cornwall. The house was beautiful with great facilities! As two families sharing the house we found it was well kitted out to accommodate us all. The games room was a huge winner for the kids and not forgetting the hot tub! The view to wake up every morning to was stunning. I cannot fault the cleanliness, the quality of furnishings and all round quality. Thank you for a memorable stay.

A superb well appointed property with everything needed for a relaxing family holiday. Views are awesome, especially the sunsets. Crantock beach is idyllic. Only issues were 1 hot tub needed chemicals added, after a few days of 9 people using the tub, water became murky. One guest has subsequently ended up with a skin infection requiring antibiotics since returning home, GP suspects hot tub related 2 tumble dryer was not working but housekeeping did their best to help with extra towels an clothes airer.
