Branock Reviews

What a property! Branock is absolutely perfect and the location so beautiful. Kirsty was brilliant at communicating and so lovely to talk to on check out. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 kids so having the large garden, huge hot tub amazing!, open plan spacious kitchen diner sitting room was perfect for us. The bedrooms were great, comfy beds and everything spotlessly clean. Spending time on and in the water was what immediately drew us in to book at Tor Down quarry and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. Would highly recommend staying here and will be telling friends and family about it!

The property was very comfortable Easily enough room to spread out with great ... The property was very comfortable Easily enough room to spread out with great views over the quarry and a secluded rear garden for using the hot tub Really enjoyed our week despite the mixed weather
We had an amazing stay, if you like peace and quiet this is the place. We fished in the lakes and caught some Trout. The accommodation was lovely, very spacious and clean, loved the scones. The owner was lovely. The pub in the village is amazing. Good central location for north and south coast's. Would highly recommend this property and will definitely return.
Once we found the property all our frustrations melted away, for our cabin the scenery was beautiful. I do feel better signage is needed and a mention how tight the lanes can be. This did stop us wanting to go out in the dark, but for us it didnt matter. We had a full day in Cornwall then was able too chill out and relax. The cabin was very comfortable and had all we needed. It was a very enjoyable week highly recommend it.

We've just had a wonderful 2 weeks at Branock at Tor Down Quarry. The location was spectacular, the house was amazing and the site was fabulous. Add to that Kirsty the owner and best host and we had a fantastic holiday. Thank you x

Lovely lodge in a quiet countryside location. Just be aware its off a very tiny lane. The lodge worked perfectly for us and our dogs. You can canoe or paddle board on the lakes . We loved the hot tub and enjoyed the space in the lodge as there was only 4 of us . Would recommend and return if the opportunity came up again .

Wow, what an amazing place, if your looking for quiet, clean and fantastic views to wake up to, this is the place. Kirsty the owner was lovely, couldn't do enough for us, when we saw her, on arrival, she had left us home made scones with jam and cream, I would highly recommend Tor Down Quarry, wildlife was amazing, this place has everything to relax, sit back and enjoy all a holiday could give you. Definitely 5 star from me Terry

This was one of nicest places I have stayed in Cornwall! It was homely with a touch of holiday! I would definitely book again when visiting with a larger group!
We were told when booking that we could access the property at 3pm, we arrived early at 2pm and the cleaning was in progress, i dared to politely ask the lady cleaning roughly what time the lodge would be ready and her response was very rude and unprofessional and not what i would have expected, we paid a lot of money for the stay and were very unhappy with such a poor welcome, i did try and email the owner regarding this but was ignored, i tried further by text but my thoughts were clearly not important. One other thing worth bearing in mind that the rear garden although nice for children is covered in what i think are rabbit droppings, not the owners fault i appreciate as the lodge is very rural but not great for people either. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it could and should have been so much better, one nice touch was the scones jam and cream, much appreciated.

An absolutely beautiful holiday home with everything you need for a great stay! Kirsty has thought of everything. The quarry is so peaceful and the sunsets from here are breathtaking. Will definitely return soon!
Just got back from a great week at Tor down quarry. The quarry is amazing we swam every day and went paddle boarding . The jacuzzi was a lovely treat too . The house had every kitchen utensil you could need . We had a few bbqs in and made the most of the lovely setting. It is quite remote but if you make it to the pub , which is about a 25 minute walk , the food is good.
An exceptional property with lots of space and light. Attention to detail by Kirsty is outstanding. This is our 3rd visit to Tor Down Quarry. Love the private hot tub and the 2 lakes for swimming and paddle boarding.
The property was lovely, the jacuzzi was very popular and the quarry was a beautiful place to holiday in and would gladly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying there.
We had an amazing time despite weather not been at it's best. Place was lovely and clean and kirsty and John made sure we had very thing we needed . Would recommend and would go again.
